On Saturday morning before we left, Eliza had her first swim meet. She was a little nervous but did great overall especially for it being her first swim meet ever. She got 5th in the breast stroke, 4th in butterfly and 2nd in the freestyle relay. She hauled in the freestyle, so hopefully she'll do that one as an individual event next time. I think if she learned to dive in she'd do even better. The girls who dove in did better. She just jumped in straight and then started, so that gave her a disadvantage. But that will come. She was so sad about her performance in getting 5th and 4th--she nearly cried, so Brian had to reassure her, but getting the 2nd made it all better!
